This massive pool & spa combo was built for award winning landscape architect JKest and CO. This project features a unique water in transit system with both Lautner knife edge and perimeter overflow with the two edges converging into an attached basin. The 2-body equipment system utilizes 5 pumps, 2 heaters, and 2 filters creating an independent spa. All bluestone tile and coping materials were honed & fabricated on site. The basin features large stone panels installed using metal clips in lieu of cement for a seamless look.
One of the coolest features on this pool is a fully integrated underwater speaker system that works with the house’s sound system. It is synchronized perfectly so that you can jump in the pool without missing a beat. It also features 3 lighting systems, 3 separate spa jet arrays with over 24 jets combined. More than a half mile of pipe and over 100 yards of gunite was used on this project. Because of the costal environment, 32 pilings were used to prevent settling and movement due to scouring. Simply put, this pool will not move an inch if a superstorm were to ever return to the jersey shore. |
