Location Mantoloking, NJ Details 28' x 12' pool with adjacent 13' by 10' spillway spa. Materials Custom fabricated bluestone coping with complimentary spa coping and wall veneer in Afyon Cloud Marble by Marmiro Stones. 1" x 2" Lunada Bay Agate glass tile in Piza pearl. Pentair Energy Efficient pool & spa equipment with Intellicenter Automation, LED pool & spa lights, and a salt sanitization system. Steel Gray PebbleFina pool and spa finish by Pebbletec. Specialized Pools was commissioned by the new home's owner to design and build a pool and spa large enough to accommodate not only regular family recreation but also parties and other large social gatherings.
Of particular importance to our design approach was the need to seamlessly integrate the pool and spa aesthetics into the various functional components of the boat dock including the gangway, decking, pilings, and boat slip. This coastal project included the challenging requirement that the pool structure be built on top of a total of 18, 25-foot stability pilings. The quantity of large, heavy-duty materials and the substantial equipment required to work the project meant that we could only access the outdoor space from the bay. Accordingly, all materials and equipment were brought to the site by barge. |
